Young People and the Environmental Crisis - Wednesday 4 March 2026

A screening of  Climate Anxiety and Bats, Bottles & Butterflies, two short documentaries made by Cambridge Moviemakers on the theme of environment and climate, followed by a panel discussion with questions from the audience. On the panel were: Simon Lacey of Cambridge Climate Therapists and young people from Parkside Community College’s Social Action Group with their teacher Denbigh Cowley. The event was chaired by Anne Miller of Carbon Neutral Cambridge.

Trip to Denver Sluice - Tuesday 14 October 2025

​The visit looked at how the water levels and flows across the Fens are managed in order to protect the environment, prevent flooding and provide water. Three expert speakers gave an overview of water management across East Anglia, how this is being impacted by climate change, and the potential impacts of the melting of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS).
